Number of OL Copies Printed
#1
Hello,  Newbie here so if I posted to the wrong forum, forgive me.  I'm loving ST4 Visual and use it sometimes days and even weeks in advance to create observing lists before I get outside to my scope.  I then plug the objects into my DSC on an AZ8 and away I go.  However, I have a silly question about the number of copies of the OL that ST prints.   When I hit the "Print/Copy" function a dialog box comes up that allows me to select the printer, font sizes, etc, but nowhere to set the number of copies I want.  I only want one, but ST always prints four copies.  It wastes paper.

I've tried to trouble shoot by selecting the "Print to PDF" feature as a printer, which it does and only "prints" one pdf.  I've checked for new drivers for my printer and searched AI on the web which it offered a few suggestions, but none of them work.

Why isn't there a "Number of Copies" window that comes up in the print dialog box like any other program does?  Am I missing something?

I'm running a Win 11 machine with the latest updates.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Apologies for the delay in responding. I've been traveling offline. SkyTools doesn't set the number of copies, so this must be a setting in your printer properties. On the SkyTools dialog where you start printing, you will see the button to change your printer. Click that, and to the right of the selected printer, select Printer Properties. What happens after that depends on your printer, but look for a property where you can set the number of copies. Change that to 1. If it us already set to 1m try looking through all of the printer settings, as sometimes there is an override, or second place to enter the number of copies.

Clear skies,

Thanks Greg,  no problem. Thanks for the reply. I figured it had to be a printer or driver issue. I deleted the printer from the printers list, re-installed it and now its working fine....one copy.

Sorry to have bothered you. Im still learning ST and am enjoying the progran.

Thanks
