2021 TT1 for the Southern Hemisphere

Sorry to hear that you were clouded out. That happens so often. Since you're interested, in the future I mention MPs that are SH only on the forum for you folks down under. Or are you on top?

2021 TT1 was movin' right along for sure. Apparently the iTelescopes have mounts that can track MPs & comets. My success using them has been poor.

Thanks for that, I currently just browse SpaceWeather for NEO's and then look these up in ST4, as I am more of an intermittent "space tourist" rather than an "every clear night" observer who plans ahead.

Well maybe we can do some of the planning ahead for you  . The close approaches that are observable visually are rare. It would be great if the ones that try to hide down south could be picked off when they least expect it. Many of the close approaching ones get spotted on the way out anyway. The CNEOS site has the option to see the MPs 60 days in the future & ±30 days, among other options. The ± option is very depressing as it shows what was missed.

Thanks Phil, I Googled CNEOS and enjoyed watching the Video Tutorial covering the CNEOS NEO close approach data table.

I'm sure glad that ST4 does all these calculations for me, and all I need do is click GoTo.
