I too use other software and some satellites are seriously problematic. Even our own Moon.

One of the programs can use SPICE. The most obvious problem with this is the size of the SPICE data files, which are ~14GB in this setup. Another significant problem is what to do when a simulation is evolved past the time limit of one of the SPICE data files, which is only a few decades for most of the moons. It would be much better to write custom software to be of comparable accuracy, which is what the author of the software is working on now.
