I think the biggest improvement for double stars is the "Best Resolution" selection for the eyepiece view. This will now provide a much more realistic view of the pair, including a representation of the seeing and diffraction pattern.

Oh, I get it now. The "ideal eyepiece" option is just what I've been needing.

I hope so. Way back in 2017 I said, "This will now provide a much more realistic view of the pair, including a representation of the seeing and diffraction pattern." It is improved some, but with so much to do, I have yet to figure out exactly how to achieve what I want, so its still a work in progress.
