Getting exposure time into project
#6

My apologies for the long delay in responding. So it turns out this is likely related to a bug that has to do with the gain settings. It turned into a real rabbit hole, which is why it took so long.

I am ready to release a fix for this soon in an update. But before I do that, I need some more info to be sure I have fixed the right thing.

Please open your imaging system, open the Camera dialog, and click Edit next to the gain settings. Please take a screen capture of these gain settings and post it.

For a project that is not setting the exposure times in the export file, please send a screen capture of the Scheduler window so I can compare the XML result to what is displayed on the Scheduler.
For this message, I am posting the camera gain settings, not sure that I have been here before. My camera is an Atik 16200. Please see the attachment.

I will make a new project with a matching Scheduler window in the next message.

Greg,

Here are some screen shots of an imaging project using Auto exposure and no per filter overrides.  I Scheduler I double-clicked the project to get the schedule on the right. I notice now that OIII and SII have a time like datum but not number x exposure in the description.  The resulting xml (saved as a txt) (using OIII as an example) has 195 for Nexp, This anticipates a 20sec exposure to make 65 minutes but the Exposure field is zero.

SII also produced unexpected data in the Scheduler and xml. Perhaps the issue is exposures less than a minute.

Greg,

One more issue that exceeds my understanding as I crawl up the learning curve.  I could not understand why I could image Sh 2-73 right away. Upon inspection, I discovered that the A period for Lum was shortened from the overall A period for the narrowband filters.  For some reason, the Lum filter was allowed to be first but I had to wait for 23:36 to begin imaging. (SGPro honors these start and end times.) Had the Scheduler realized that Ha was good to go at 21:20 then I could have had more imaging time.

Of course, RW is not bound by any Scheduler but I thought I'd mention this.
