The "P" indicates that there exists an Imaging Project for this target that is assigned to the selected Observing Program. It's not meant to indicate if the project is active or not. The removal of completed projects is integral to the workings of the Scheduler, but it isn't for the Target Selection Tool. On the Target Selection tool its merely informational.
If you are truly done with a target in the Target Selection tool, you have several options:
1. Delete it from the list
2. Use the Observation Status and select its status as "Observed." Then you can filter the ones that are already observed from the list by right-clicking on the observation status column heading.
If you would find it useful for the Target Selection Tool, I could consider changing the "P" icon to indicate the status of the project. I could also add the ability to filter out projects that are completed.
thank you for the follow up - yes sir, I understand all that you mentioned but am still a bit confused. When I changed the status to Completed in the Observation Tab on previous Projects, the "P" disappeared in the Target Selection Tab except the Projects I mentioned in my original comments.
It's not a problem - I was just curious how to make the "P" disappear in the Target Selection Tab when the project was completed.
