Well, first let me say that I am very jealous! And thanks for telling me what you are actually doing, as that really helps me make suggestions.
Here is what I would do: create an observing location for Chile. If you don't know the exact location, that's ok. A very approximate location is fine. Now that you have the location selected, set that location in the Nightly Planner. If you know what telescopes or other instruments you may be using set those up too. They can also be generic or approximate.
This will allow you to use the full range of tools available for planning without any crude kludges. Have fun!
