I requested information regarding the use of Autoguide option from support at iTelescope - below is the response:
Autoguiding is a system specific determined function.
It cannot be enabled or disabled by customers. We run imaging test to determine what the exposure limit for unguided imaging is, on each system eg T20 up to 120 sec unguided. If a customer selects exposures longer than 120 seconds, on T20, the system automatically engages the autoguider.
Some systems, eg T31, operate solely from a mount model and are not guided at any exposure.
The use, or not, of an autoguider, is stated on the support page for each telescope (near the bottom).
Hence, autoguiding is a function that you do not need to worry about.
