MP 2022 AB - PMSchu - 2022-01-12

The MP 2022 AB is predicted to reach max brightness tonight ~3:30 EST in Gemini. The predicted path is shown here: [attachment=2186]

Closest approach doesn't occur until 2022 Jan 20, but it will be fainter than 17th magnitude then.

Good hunting,

Phil S.

Thanks for the heads up on that one. I've got it closest (3701548Km) ~7:19CST on the 20th at magnitude 15.5 and brightest on Jan 17th ~20:00CST at mag 15.3. Tonight, at a distance of 5140864Km, I have it at mag 15.8ish crossing my southern meridian 81° up at 00:29CST. H=23.53.
