It doesn't have much hype, but it doesn't have any information either, and what little it does say is hype-adjacent.
In a world where we have spectroscopy it is ridiculous to talk about the color of the comet, as if it poses some sort of mystery. That's like speculating about the lines on someones palm when we can identify them by their fingerprints. Spectroscopy tells us in detail about what is being out gassed and we can figure out why. There is real science being done on this comet, but it is not being covered by any of the media. You have to go to the papers themselves and then you have to be qualified to read them. This is the result of one Crackpot with credentials putting his own self interest above that of real science communication. Currently none of the astronomers who work in the field are willing to even speak to the public, much less write about their findings in a general way.
I did my best to boil down what we actually know about this comet in what I hope is a relatable form below. If it sounds crazy, then consider why, because it comes directly from the scientific papers.
